As we move into the final stretch of the LMFL regular season, Week 10 brought plenty of excitement, standout performances, and some shake-ups in the standings. Let’s take a look at all the action before we preview what’s coming up in Week 11.
🥎 Week 10 Highlights
Hounds 6 – 2 Athletics
Josh Anderson led the charge for the Hounds, turning in a complete-game gem with 10 strikeouts over 7 innings. He was just as dangerous at the plate, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two doubles. Jonny Aragon added more punch to the offense with a 2-RBI triple. Darren Strang took the loss on the mound for the Athletics, who drop a tight one despite entering the week near the top of the standings.
Rebels 3 – 2 Canadians
It was a pitcher’s duel in this one, with R. D’Entremont overpowering the Canadians’ lineup and finishing the game with 12 strikeouts. The difference-maker came off the bat of K. Manns, who drove in two crucial runs with a clutch double. Despite a strong showing from J. Turner (8 strikeouts) and S. Kehoe (2-for-3, 1 RBI), the Canadians came up just short.
Rays 5 – 1 Rangers
The Rays continued to build momentum behind the reliable arm of Evan Willis. He pitched a strong game and was supported by a solo home run from Isaac Brown. The Rangers couldn’t quite get the bats going, with #18 taking the loss for the team.
Connaught Lomas 7 – 4 Langley Hounds
This one had a bit of everything. Margolis got the win for Connaught, while Shiva Kulkarni delivered 3 RBIs. The highlight of the game came from Fabio Diaz, who not only hit a triple but then boldly stole home. Add in 8 strikeouts over 4 innings from Vandekerkhove, and Connaught’s energy was undeniable. Sean Greenlay took the loss for the Hounds.
Ladner Masters 4 – 3 Jazz
Rob Johnston pitched the Masters to victory in this tight matchup. Jim Bruce came through at the right time, going 2-for-3 and knocking in the game-winning run in the final moments. A much-needed win for a Masters team looking to gain ground in the standings.
Vancouver Lomas 9 – 4 Jazz
Vancouver continues to roll. Tyler Lindgren took the win on the mound, and Logan Newman launched a home run to help his team stay tied for first place in the standings. Caleb Koko took the loss for the Jazz, who fought hard in a double-header night.
