The Lower Mainland Fastpitch League (LMFL) entered Week 11 with teams eyeing valuable points as the regular season nears its conclusion. Despite a rainout between Southridge and Connaught, the rest of the league delivered a strong slate of games.
Vancouver Continues to Roll
Vancouver showed no signs of slowing down as they cruised to a dominant 9-0 win over the Canadians. Pitcher Tyler Lindgrin was in complete control, shutting down the Canadians’ offense and helping Vancouver improve to 9-2 on the season, the best record in the league.
Athletics Edge LM in Defensive Duel
In one of the tighter matchups of the week, the Athletics edged LM 3-1, led by a solid performance from Dean Webster on the mound. The Athletics, now 7-1-2, continue to pressure Vancouver for the top spot with only a slight margin separating the two.
Rangers Shut Out Rays
The Rangers picked up a clutch 2-0 win over the Rays, thanks to a gem by Jose Reyes on the mound. With the win, the Rangers move to 5-4-1, keeping their playoff hopes very much alive in a competitive middle tier of the standings.
