The LMFL is proud to be supporting partners of the inaugural season of the LM Boys Fastpitch League! Registration is open for U9 boys in 7 participating associations.
Boys fastpitch has a long and rich history in BC and Canada and is primed for a revival. We’re excited that boys of Lower Mainland communities will get to enjoy the fast and fun action of our great game! (Did you know Canada’s National Team has medaled in 7/8 World Championships since 2000 including Gold in 2015?! We’re really good!)
What to expect
The associations listed below are open to registration for U9 boys and will form boys-only teams. Starting in April, teams will host 2 practices with a focus on fun skill development (based on the excellent Learn To Play model), gamification, and team building. In week 5, after the initial skill building practices, the weekend session will transform into a regional jamboree of games against other boys teams, bbq, and other fun activities!
(U7 registrants will continue in the LTP program playing out of each association’s home field).
Why play fastpitch?
- Focus on fun & skill development – no standing around here! We want our players to experience continuous action where they get a chance to learn the fundamentals of fastpitch while having a great time with new friends!
- Fast action – Fastpitch is a fast paced game that keeps players excited and on their toes and their parents happily rooting them on
- Predictable schedule – Families are busier than ever today. Easily plan ahead with consistent practice and game days.
- Lifelong sport – Many players in our men’s partner league, the Lower Mainland Fastpitch League, have been playing for over 30 or more years!
