The Craig Donaldson Memorial LMFL Playoffs are a true celebration of the game, bringing together a wide range of talent from across the Lower Mainland. This year’s tournament features everything from rising stars as young as 15 to seasoned veterans who have represented Team Canada on the international stage. It’s a testament to the league’s continued growth and competitiveness, with more high-level players choosing to compete in the LMFL year after year. The blend of youth and experience not only elevates the level of play but also reflects the league’s commitment to fostering development and showcasing elite fastpitch talent.

🔹 Ladner Masters Edge Connaught Meralomas in Tight Battle (2–1)Veteran arm Johnston led the way for Ladner, throwing 6 strong innings and striking out 5 while allowing just one run on 7 hits. Gord Chan had a perfect night at the plate, going 2-for-2 with a double.Meralomas starter Murray Margolis was solid in a complete-game effort, racking up 9 strikeouts over 7 innings, but the Masters held on for the win.
🔹 Steveston Canadians Power Past Connaught Jazz (8–2)Brad Miller was dominant on the mound for Steveston, pitching 4.2 innings with 9 strikeouts. The bats were hot as Creyke led the offense, going 2-for-3 with a double and 3 RBIs.Koko took the loss for the Jazz, who couldn’t contain the Canadians’ attack.
🔹 Willis Shines in Rays’ Shutout Over Rangers (2–0)In a classic pitching duel, E. Willis was electric for the Richmond Rays, throwing a 2-hit, complete-game shutout with 10 strikeouts.The difference-maker was a single by B. Shubrook—the only hit the Rays needed off Connaught’s Koko, who delivered a strong performance but took his second loss of the night.
🔹 Surrey Rebels Win 9-Inning Thriller vs Langley Hounds (3–2)In the most dramatic game of the round, Rene D’Entremont was masterful, striking out 17 over 9 innings and guiding the Rebels to a walk-off win.Langley’s J. Anderson was nearly as sharp, posting 14 strikeouts over 8.2 innings, but the Hounds came up just short. Duncan Currie chipped in a run for Surrey, going 1-for-4.
🔹 Vancouver Lomas Dominate Ladner Masters (11–1)The Lomas rolled in their first playoff game with a convincing win over Ladner. With a roster mix of youth and experience—ranging from 15 to 55 years old—the Masters are showing heart, if not yet the results.They’ll get a chance to bounce back at 2:00 PM today vs Connaught Rangers, while the red-hot Lomas face the Rays at 4:00 PM in what promises to be a heavyweight showdown.
