Week 5 Wrap-Up – Big Hits, Ties, and Power Performances

The Lower Mainland Men’s Fastpitch League (LMFL) wrapped up another action-packed week with powerful bats, tight games, and standout individual performances.


Tuesday, May 27

Steveston Canadians 9 – 1 Connaught Meralomas
Winning Pitcher: Jason Turner
Losing Pitcher: Murray Margolis
🔥 Aaron Steitzer was unstoppable at the plate, going 3-for-3 including a 3-RBI double to lead the Canadians’ offense.

Connaught Rangers 2 – 2 Richmond Athletics
In one of the week’s most balanced matchups, the Rangers and A’s battled to a 2–2 tie.
Highlights included a 2-run HR by Fernando Martinez for the Rangers and solo homers by Bryan Abrey and Ryan Shields for the A’s.

Richmond Rays 0 – 7 Vancouver Lomas
Winning Pitcher: Derek Mayson
Losing Pitcher: Evan Willis
The Lomas offense exploded behind a 3-run homer from Ian Creamore and a solo blast by Clint Taylor.

Langley Hounds 7 – 2 Ladner Masters
Winning Pitcher: Josh Anderson (7 IP, 2 ER)
Losing Pitcher:
The Hounds’ bats came alive, scoring seven runs while Anderson went the distance on the mound.

Connaught Jazz 6 – 2 Surrey Rebels
Winning Pitcher: Caleb Koko
Losing Pitcher: Craig Pidcock
Tyler Fraser delivered the night’s biggest punch, going 2-for-3 at the plate with 2 home runs and 4 RBIs, powering the Jazz to victory.
