The 2025 Kelowna May Days ISC Qualifier held at King Stadium showcased top-tier fastpitch talent from across Western Canada and the Pacific Northwest — and LMFL players made their mark.

Several standout LMFL athletes suited up for teams competing in the ISC qualifier, including:

  • Derek Mayson
  • Kevin Schellenberg
  • Logan Newman
  • Nick Fry
  • Nate Thiessen
  • Talon Van Poele
  • Randall Thompson
  • Clint Taylor
  • Scott Nehaj
  • Jason Eckert
(if we are missing any players, please let us know)

Special congratulations go to Kevin Schellenberg, who played a key role in helping the GP Pirates capture the championship title. In the final game, the Pirates edged out the Sooke Loggers 2–0 behind a dominant pitching performance by Steven Normand, who outdueled Sooke’s Devon McCullough. A solo home run by Patrick Burns and a late RBI from Corey Jones sealed the win for Grande Prairie.

The presence and performance of LMFL players throughout the weekend highlighted the strength and depth of talent developing in the Lower Mainland. Congratulations to all who represented the league so well!
